I am trying to clone my room key to my magic ring. However I am getting an error that says
Sector: 1, Block: 0 Key with write access (A) not known
Sector: 1, Block: 1 Key with write access (A) not known
Sector: 1, Block: 2 Key with write access (A) not known
Sector: 1, Block: 3 Key with write access (A) not known
Then it ask me to either “write as much as possible” or “cancel writing”. Instinctively I said to write as much as possible however this isn’t working for me. I cannot clone the card to my ring. So I am a bit stumped as to what is going on.
try specify writing with KeyB for the sector. by default A should be useable but it worth a shot
Huh? I am new to this. That’s a little confusing to me.
What are you using for duplication, a lot of application requires key to be known and that will be based on luck if the key used is in some standard keys that are regularly bundled with these applications, further proxmark3 can try further attacks to recover the keys and if successful dump the content. I had no problem with duplicating Mifare 1K cards onto gen1 backdoor ones, some bad readings and card errors but always overall successful.
I am using this exact video and the same exact tools in the video.
Hmm this looks like problem with unknown key, can you try to write but select the standard keys + the keys you imported?
