Lodestone Pico Question [SOLVED]

Hihi,

I had recently ordered the lodestone Pico, it just came in today, and I just can’t seem to get it to be recognized by any device I use it on. My phone (fold 7) my partners phone (s25u), and neither of our PCs seem to even see it plugged in.

Just curious as maybe im just missing a step here.

Well, when i plug it into my phone, it doesn’t say anything. Turn the volume to max and get your magnet near it while playing something with audio or use zinc’s haptic playground.

Does yours still output audio through the speakers? Mine continues playing through the speakers and I can’t seem to feel anything played through the zinc app or any other audio.

Interesting. It does not continue to play out of the speakers. You may have a dud. We can exchange it if you respond to your order confirmation. Assuming no one else can think of another way to test it? @Az_F

The only other thing that comes to mind is case issue. For mine, it feels almost like it’s inserted but it doesn’t connect unless i take the case off.

My pico only works on my phone if usb OTG is turned on in developer settings. Have you checked that?
I have no idea why it might not work on pc, sorry

So I’ve tried caseless, changing usb configuration, enabling/disabling usb debugging, and nothing sadly. I thought maybe I was just being dumb lol.

Ok weird I just kinda left it in a while longer like 5 minutes and it started working, sorry, that was odd.

I’ll be testing all of the remaining units on friday.

Hrm… keep us posted. If it isn’t consistently working, let’s get it exchanged

At least on Samsung phones, you should be able to select the sound playback device from the Quick Settings in the Notifications panel:

Windows has a similar thing as well:

I hope this helps.

I’ve managed to get it to work for the most part, I slightly filed back the case by like less than 0.5 mm, seems to have do the trick, maybe some residue or something.

I appreciate everyone’s feedback!

Android is notoriously bad at recognizing usb-c audio peripherals. Sometimes you plug them in and nothing happens (same with headphones).

I don’t have a solution to that other than randomly plugging and unplugging until it works sadly.

Yeah this sounds a lot like the issue I described above.

Can confirm. Mine works 30% of the time, but plugging it in and unplugging once or twice usually rolls the dice enough to get it to work.
