Looking for a Dangerous Things installer in the Southwest UK

Hi everyone,

I’m in the Southwest of the UK and I’m looking to have two implants installed: a NExT v2 and an xMagic. I’ve already bought them, so I’m now just trying to find a willing installer.

I’ve used the partner map and found one installer in Barnstaple, which is just under two hours away from me. I’ve tried reaching out, but I haven’t had a response yet. I’ve also tried approaching local piercers in person using the Dangerous Things guide to approaching a professional, but so far no one I’ve spoken to has been interested, which I completely understand.

Before I end up having to travel further and possibly stay overnight, I wanted to ask if anyone knows of anyone in the Southwest who is comfortable installing x-series implants, or if anyone has had success finding a willing professional nearby. I’m happy to travel for the right person, but I’d prefer not to stay overnight unless I have to.

Any recommendations, personal experiences, or contacts would be greatly appreciated.

how frustrating for you

especially when it sounds like you have done everything right.

I immediately thought of at least 3 community members with install experience.

The closest (if my UK geography is correct) is

  • @Devilclarke who is in Bristol, but we havent seen him in quite a while
  • @greydoc who would be your next closest in London, but again, we haven’t seen him for a while.
  • Your most likely to respond, but furtherest away of the 3 is @Equipter in Manchester.

I don’t understand, except, I know the UK laws are a perciecievd/ actual “minefield” but not ACTUAL minefield :collision:

There are other community members in the UK that may see this and hopefully either, offer to help install or atheist provide you with some other local contacts to try.

I just wanted to say thank you, I really appreciate you taking the time to respond and tag people who might be able to help. That’s genuinely helpful, and I’m very grateful.

I think the hesitation from local piercers might be down to the legal grey area, which I can understand from their perspective. It may also be a confidence issue if it’s something they haven’t come across or performed before.

Hopefully someone you’ve tagged, or another member of the forum, will be able to help.

Thanks again for the support, I’ll keep the thread updated if I manage to find someone.
