I’m looking to get a Flexclass Implant put in me, but sadly I’m from the Chicagoland area and there’s not any Partners on the Partner Map in state. I reached out to an individual in a bordering state, but unfortunately the price being quoted is a bit higher than anticipated. I checked w/ a few other people who have received implants and have also done implants, and they agreed that $300 is a bit much, considering what the procedure entails.
I’ve been reaching out to a good amount of Piercing Studios and Tattoo shops, to see if anyone is willing to do an implant, but unfortunately, I haven’t had any luck finding someone who’s willing to stab me. (I know, Shocker… Chicago is all about Stabbing).
A buddy suggested that I reach out here, to see if anyone has any suggestions on shops / people / etc. that are either Chicagoland Area based and/or in a somewhat close proximity.
What did the in person shops have to say? Did you ask for the implant procedure straight away or ask them to review the documentation and schedule another visit later to discuss?
Most professionals need some time to adjust to new information before they’ll consider doing a thing.
I asked about if they have done this procedure before or if they’ve heard about it. Showed them the documentation and did offer to send them a copy. They were aware of it, but did not do it themselves. They sent me in the direction of two people out of state, who they knew would do that and that they travel to the chicagoland area. I reached out to one, and that was who I mentioned above. The otherone i reached out to, i’m still awaiting a response from.
My buddy I talked to is a tattoo artist at Old Town Tatu in Logan square. He said in the city there’s a lot of places kind of scared of it because there’s laws against scarification and certain legislators could consider it a form.
I don’t obviously but that was the raining for the Piercer at his shop
I have some mates who were in the NT police at the time, and were very junior, and had to guard her at one stage. It was very interesting to hear their take on what she was like.
I am surprised she was ever convicted though, as everyone here knows what bloody dingoes can do!
She was acquitted by the High Court from memory (our highest).
Many years later some clothing was found which had clearly been chewed and resembled the baby’s. I can’t remember if they did a DNA test (or if such technology was even available at the time).
I think prevailing opinion here now is she was telling the truth.
Yeah. Not sure it’s funny if you are not Australian or Kiwi and taking the piss, but fair enough. It was an interesting point in our history. I do wish we were known for things like beer drinking and fishing over dingoes though
