My wife bought the Magic Ring v2 intended to be worn as my wedding band. Today as I was closing a door at work and it somehow managed to get caught on the latch and broke in half. It was a bit scary getting it off with that shards but we succeeded so now my question is - and I know it’s a long shot, is there any type of warranty or am I looking at buying a new one? I never even got around to programming it. I’m pretty bummed but I’m a big supporter. I love my NeXT implant so if buying again is my only option, I totally understand
Edit: I didn’t take photos of what’s left of the ring since I rolled it up in a paper towel but I can provide those too
oof .. yeah these rings are less durable than just a solid chunk of material. stuffing electronics in there means the construction method requires separate parts that get glued and joined together and they just aren’t as resilient as just a solid chunk of turned material. On top of that, they have to be made out of ceramic not metal as metal would block the field.. and ceramic is much more brittle obviously.
We can’t send a replacement but @tac0s can give you a good discount if you want to order a replacement.
You guys are awesome. Here are the remnants lol. But I’m a serious note, the ring is strong asf which is what worried me the most. We could barely break it with pliers on the other side to cause relief but i was able to slide it off eventually. Just a weird sensation with copper and ceramic but we’re all here for dangerous things
Uh no is a weird response considering method of support and I’ve never needed it. lol, be glad I’m not asking about how to program my chips but a more legit issue. Anyways, have a good laugh at me getting my implant while I get things together. Much love.
