MRI Experience with an implant

Hi people!

I went in for an MRI today. It was a brain scan w/ and w/o contrast. They researched it prior when I mentioned I had the transponder. Had a technician call ahead of time to ask some questions about it also. The MRI document I found by the DT team was also helpful for them.

Xsiid still works after but I didn’t anticipate it being a problem as its in my hand far from the scan region.

Thanks for the document and stay healthy y’all :cowboy_hat_face:

I’m glad it went well for you, and thanks for posting!

Though DT’s documentation is very helpful as you mentioned, the more ‘evidence’ from people like you sharing their experiences, the better.

Out of curiosity, what type of questions did the technician ask over the phone?

I hope all is well in reference to the reason for the scan in the first place!

Questions before visit:
Where is it located? (There concern was for the imaging results and that it could get hot)
Any concerns I had
And confirming I’m okay with going through with it after letting me know the tech thinks it’ll be fine.

During visit:
What’s it do? Lol
I showed it read by my phone and it had the link to this meme https://youtu.be/Fc1P-AEaEp8?si=zmO6kjIS95ihEFGY

(I had the video saved and rehosted to avoid ads too)

Everything is relatively fine and should get better with time thanks for the concern :slightly_smiling_face: !

Those all seem reasonable. I’m glad they didn’t fuss about it.

Good to hear that all is well!

Ha, he spoke with me. I recall him mentioning this. Did it get hot or feel abnormal during the procedure?

Lmao you’re 2/2 on tripping me up.

I didn’t think about them calling you guys to confirm things lol.

I was locked in on staring at a scratch/mark inside the mri machine while it was going on. But I didn’t notice any heat or discomfort.

That’s kind of crazy to think about, that they would call you guys. It makes sense, and I’m not sure why I’m so surprised.

Neat though.
