My implant is password protected hf and lf I can't write to it but can read it easily

It’s a dual frequency chip where hf is led but I can’t even see the led blink when approaching a reader even in the dark not worth it should of bought xmagic one but I’m stupid anyways both frequency is locked I have the next v2 and it’s completely password protected out the box. What’s the password?

let’s take a step back…

First, everything you describe sounds easily explainable, and nothing to worry about.

How long ago was this installed?

It is very common for people not to be able to start to see the LED up until anywhere from ~2 - 6 weeks, but even then, there can be exceptions.

The chance of getting a faulty implant is very low

The xMagic is great, but “should” depends on your use case. What do you want to do with the implant?

You are not stupid, you just currently have limited knowledge in a niche topic, but we can fix that.

Yep, but this doesn’t stop you from using it, It protects you from borking it.

you can change it, but “nobody” ever does.

It doesnt work the way a typical password does, the implant"wants" to be read and written to, the pasword simply stops you or somebody else from preventing this.
Your best course of action is just to forget it has acpassword and use the NExTv2 in the manor it was designed

What tools are you using to read your implant?

I got it installed in November 1st

Iv been trying to write to it but it won’t let me saying it’s password protected.

I wanna use it for access control by cloning cards to it.

Proxmark 3 easy x and a flipper zero

You can’t clone cards to the HF side of that particular implant, but it might be possible to get it enrolled in the access control system that you want to use it on.

The low frequency side can be used to clone most 125kHz cards.

What are you using to write to the implant? I personally recommend TagWriter and NFC Tools for the high frequency side.

Also, what credential are you trying to clone to your implant? Do you know the frequency and chip in question?

You should be seeing some form of light by now

That is odd.

How deep do you think it is installed?

  • Can you see the outline of the implant under your skin when relaxed?
  • Can you see the outline when you flex/tighten/ push on your skin?
  • Can you feel the implant?
  • Can you not see the outline or feel it at all ?

I don’t see or feel it.

I sort of maybe feel it in the meat of my hand not the skin

I can’t even use my phone to read it it’s too deep

That is pretty much the answer

The deeper it is, the less likely you will see the light and the coupling will be reduced so reading and writing will be more difficult

Can you show us exactly what you’re doing? Screen caps are great for proxmark and the flipper computer app makes screen shots easy.
