Newbie needs some guidance

I have been playing around with my Proxmark3 Easy for a few days now and have learned a lot. I have some questions I haven’t been able to find an answer too.

Is the Icode Slix-s chip readable with the proxmark3? I haven’t had any luck. I am able to read it with the NFC Taginfo app on my iPhone and acquire the UID and some other info about the chip.

I have purchased some HF smart Icode Slix chips that are read/writeable. Is it possible to change the UID on the new chip to match the other one? If so what would the command be to make this happen?

Thanks in advance for any guidance you can offer!

What command are you using?

no.. icode chips are legitimate chips from NXP and not “magic” chinese grey market chips. i have seen magic icode chips before but sourcing can be a bit tricky to get “real” magic icode chips with changeable UIDs.

The command I was using to attempt to read the chip is just the “auto” command. The new chip I have purchased will read in the PM and comes up as a SLIX chip with a UID. The one I’m trying to copy wont read.

I know what I am trying to do is possible because there is someone doing it already and is charging for the service. I like to experiment and learn things like this and figure it out. Its not that I’m cheep. lol

you need to find a magic icode chip. normal icode chip UIDs cannot be changed.

See this post.. step 1 is “buy UID changable ISO15693 ICode SLI card
