Reads just fine on any android device I’ve tested, but for some reason no matter what i try i can’t get iphones to read it. Included is the memory read from nfc tools. I can provide additional details if necessary.

it looks like the first two user memory pages (04 and 05) are null. this is perfectly fine as far as the NFC spec goes, but implementations of the spec vary wildly and even though something conforms to specifications does not mean everyone implemented the spec properly or completely.
i would use tagwriter on android to “format” or “erase” first, then re-write your data.
Appreciate the quick reply, unfortunately tagwriter refuses to erase the tag.
How recent is the install?
You might have been lucky with the Androids, but normally we don’t expect reliable reads for the first 2 weeks after install, sometimes as long as a month.
Also, how are you presenting the iPhone to the NExTv2 ?

Is your LED lighting up
It was just yesterday, but ive had 0 swelling so reads on everything have been extremely consistent. And I’ve been presenting the chip near the top of the phone where iphone nfc antennas are.
on everything but iphones yes
there is always swelling. typically an extremely wide area is affected so it doesn’t look like typical acute swelling. you rammed a needle, then a foreign object into your tissue. there is always swelling.. give it time.
iPhones do not sustain an NFC field, they hit the chip fast, read, and drop the field to go back to low power periodic probing. probing = very brief, very faint blinks. when android phones find a chip, they keep the field on at full power = solid bright LED.
if you are having problems seeing the LED with your iPhones, try in a very dark room and give your eyes time to adjust. if you still can’t see anything, then this points to blood pooled around the implant and swelling blocking the fainter light. give it time.
as an aside, the behavior of this iPhone SE 2nd edition is now inaccurate;
this was old behavior but new iOS versions changed how the NFC field behaves, so iPhones no longer light the LED in a solid way as shown in the video.
try tagwriter on an android phone.. also.. this is tagwriter on an iphone yes? this proves the chip is readable.. you are getting reads but the behavior is not as expected (open a url or whatever).
oh .. hmm also.. the data is a VCARD with your phone number in it (you should remove export.txt from og post if concerned).. so that’s the problem.. iPhones do NOT support vcard import at all.. so the behavior on iphones is exactly as expected.
welcome!
iphone… ndef….
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
give this a read ![]()
Okay so ig that time with tag writer was a fluke because it was on my s26 ultra during that initial test and it didn’t work but I tried it again and it worked. Did not know iphone didn’t support vcard so that’s actually super helpful. I finally got a read on the iphone with a youtube link so I think all is good. Thank you all so much for your help!
this is also super helpful, thanks!
