No LF keychain detection with Lenel readers

Hey everyone
I have not been able to get a positive indication with the included LF keychain that comes with the NExT. I know for a fact that these readers are LF, as I have cloned badges on this system.

I’m worried that my new NExT will never work; if the keychain won’t light up, what chance does the implant have?

It’s possible the reader just won’t work with small transponders like the NExT. However, the keychain is not a perfect stand-in for a t5577 chip. The LED requires considerably more power to light up then the chip requires to read. Oddly, sometimes we encounter situations where the keychain will light up no problem but still have problems reading the chip. It’s not a perfect tool, but it’s one of the better ones we have.

I feel like I see this a lot with (HID) LF readers. I can get my diagnostics card to light up, but can’t get my keychain to light up at all. They often read my xEM fairly easily once I know where to present it.
My flipper on the other hand lights up the keychain really well, but I usually have more trouble (not much mind you) getting it to read my xEM.

Not saying it will work for sure, but not all hope is lost.

This mostly mirrors my experience with flipper and HID. Though, I can only get flipper reads maybe 1% of the time. That said, I only just got the install 24 hours ago, still some swelling and soreness.
Trust the plan!

The flipper has excellent range but you 100% need to learn the best orientation. Once you figure it out after about two weeks you’ll get it 100% of the time.

It took me over a week to get my xEM to read at all after getting it installed. It’s crazy how much swelling cuts down on read range.
Patience is hard, but some things you just gotta wait out. I’m currently also impatient as I wait for the implants I got two weeks ago to read where I want them to, so I feel you lol
