I have an old xg3 v1 in -p0, it was my first implant a few years ago. I’ve had no issues with it but it did get installed entirely too deep. Sensing and lifting wise it’s kind of dulled out, although that first two years or so was really cool, but is in such a position that I would be wary of taking it out. I’d definitely go for a titanium based implant in that position, but closer to the webbing as opposed to where mine is sitting which is effectively in the middle of my palm.
For an xg3 v2 I’d really suggest maybe somewhere on the forearm or p4/5. I have a v2 in my knifes edge that has not inconsiderable sensing sensations, ymmv though!!
