PN532 NFC RFID module V4

I was noticing that your accessories store has the following image of the PN532 NFC RFID module V4
However, It doesn’t look like you have the item available in the store.

I think there may have been many issues with counterfeit chips on this board etc, but the form factor seemed pretty good.
Any updates

DT has always sold legit boards with genuine NXP chips. The ones half the price on ebay and amazon are all knockoffs.

Yeah was hoping to get an update on if the legit boards were still available from DT. Everywhere else would be a knockoff lottery.

you could always buy from the source…

Yeah we should take that out of rotation… we don’t plan on stocking it to be honest.

Thanks for the update, sounds like if I want the PN532 chipset then the ACR122U is the way to go?

It depends on what you’re using it for. For use with a PC over USB, the ACR122U is indeed the best option. The PN532 breakout seen above is more meant for use with Arduino or Raspberry Pi projects, communicating over UART,I2C, or SPI.
