Aftercare
Within a couple of hours a scab should form at the installation site. At this point, normal activities such as handwashing can resume. While it is ideal to let the wound breathe at this point, a bandage can be worn to protect it if necessary. When using a bandage, you must watch out of maceration (the tissue turning white) and take appropriate action. Keep in mind that some creams, such as Neosporin, can also lead to this condition.
