I bought a Proxmark3 Easy kit with my Next implant years ago. I never got into it, and I never installed the implant. I am going to install the implant with my new LED one. My question is; is there any easier way to use Proxmark3 Easy yet? I can do it the other way i just thought I would check first. Thank you.
In terms of not being a CLI… No improvement. Yet. But, there are a couple of existing GUI applications but they don’t look very user friendly unless you already know the technology.
The Flipper Zero is very easy to use, IMO. It’s great for most basic things. With the NExT v2 I assume you’re interested in setting the LF side. The Flipper makes cloning LF credentials super easy. IIRC there is also an app to set arbitrary EM4100 credentials.
I agree, it’s not pretty to use, but it’s more a case of its bark is worse than it’s bite.
It looks intimidating, but once you learn how to use it, it’s pretty easy and logical.
@Aoxhwjfoavdlhsvfpzha made an awesome Proxmark3 emulator, so you can poke around the interface and learn the commands and how it works.
Then, when you are ready to install your Pm3, there are a number of steep by step guides
Here’s one I plagerised and shortened, and also the original more I depth one linked within.
Also, if you get stuck during the install or during your use, just reach out here, somebody will be aroind to help you out
But yes, The Flipper Zero is also a great tool, and will do MOST of what MOST people need.
The Flipper Zero can handle many common RFID/NFC tasks well (like cloning basic access cards), which might cover a large percentage of what a casual user like yourself needs.
However, for the more obscure protocols, advanced sniffing, specialized attacks, etc. the Proxmark3 has significantly more in its arsenal than the Flipper Zero.
The Flipper Zero has a larger functionality, with things like UHF, IR, etc.
Think of the Flipper Zero as a Swiss army knife that will do the job, and the Proxmark3 as the proper tool for the Job.
I have both and I use my Flipper more, but occasionally, I need the extra functionality of the Proxmark3.
What about the Chameleon Ultra? It’s compact, battery powered, has a somewhat similar functionality as the ProxMark, has a user friendly mobile app with limited functionality and a cli for more advanced commands
