Which USB port are you using on the Proxmark?

Can you try pressing and holding the button while plugging it in, then releasing it after it’s plugged in?

Can you confirm that the cable you are using is actually a data cable?

I have some more questions

Where have you bought it?

Which client firmware are you using? (If you don’t know where did you download It?)

Can you try a USB 2 cable?

I bought it off a website called 38-3D.co.uk
It didn’t come with firmware so I just downloaded from Proxmark builds and tried it on a usb 2 as well

Have you tried ./pm3-flash-bootrom and then ./pm3-flash-fullimage?

You might also try client/proxmark3 COM3 --flash --unlock-bootloader --image bootrom.elf --image fullimage.elf

spoke on disc, it’s a wmic issue we are gonna sort it when they’re next awake (port spec needed, auto find doesn’t have deps on windows 11 by default)

I’d love to hear more about the troubleshooting for this, if it’s easy enough to share

oh word i teamviewer’d into his computer (at his request) and we used proxspace and just did port specification (./pm3-flash-fullimage -p COM3 etc) because port specifying in the batch files of the pre compiles didn’t work.
