Read Business Cards on iOS native functionality

Hello everybody,

I hope to find some help here with the following issue:

Intro:
I have a xNT Tag (NFC Forum Type 2 | NTAG 216) and an iPhone 13.

I already managed to format it with TagWriter by NXP (and with NFC Tools, too).

So far, reading an URL and reading a telephone number works well.

Problem
I can’t get Business Cards working. Writing them works well, but reading it with the native iOS does not work. (reading and opening it with “NFC TagInfo” does work!)

Goal
I want iOS reading the Business Card and opens it in the native “Contacts” App. Is that possible at all?

Thank you for assistance in advance.

Regards

I don’t think it is possible because apple puts a firewall between the NFC functions and Contacts. This is why it specifically doesn’t work on iPhones. It’s on purpose.

Thank you for this feedback

You could look at a url link, the only downside is, externally hosted.
oh
and you need an internet connection, but hopefully this is not an issue.

TagWriter will also do this

there are variety of providers that you can chose from
