Assembly Specialist Breadboard
$50.99 usd
INTRODUCTION
I’ve gotten fed up with my cheapo Amazon breadboard and I’ve been on the hunt for something that is a bit more quality. I’m not an electronics engineer and I get most of my knowledge through Googling circuits and YouTube videos. I get an idea in my head and then start looking up the circuits I’d need. Once I get an idea of the theory behind what I want I will breadboard it out before I put it on perf board.
The issue is my Breadboard sucks. Leads don’t stay in place, or the connection isn’t secure and I end up getting shitty reads. The field generator project was delayed at least 4 months because of my shitty breadboard not working correctly (inner trace shifted).
So I’ve been looking at better quality ones. I came across 3m’s board and it had great reviews and I loved the idea of it but it was pricey.
However in my research I found out that this isn’t a 3m product. It’s white labeled from assembly specialists which has it for 1/3 of what is available for.
So I gave them a try and it’s legitimately well made.
Each solder less contact is tight, almost too tight to the point I had to work in some of the components. It’s well constructed and screwed to a metal back plate with three lead points. Two red for power and one black for ground.
My first project on it was the field meter and with my first time playing with an operational amplifier made the trial and error side of figuring out this component easy.
If you’re in the market for a breadboard I recommend assembly specialists. Great quality device here.
