Review of Dangerous Things

Why I hesitated to post l the link above, because, looking through this thread, it’s starting to feel like a bit of an echo chamber.
I’m not a fan of that, and it can all feel a little “false”
since I provided most of those links, I’m basically the one creating the echo.

Full disclosure: I’m a moderator on the forum but I don’t work for Dangerous Things, and I don’t get kickbacks for “positive reviews,” etc. but I realise my perspective might look biased.
But just a reminder, I’m simply linking to other peoples posts.

Here’s where I’m coming from:
My first order with DT was a NExT and a Spark. The install was fine and the Spark worked, as dod the NExTs NTAG216 but I hit a wall with the T5577. I couldn’t get it to do what I wanted. I spent a while struggling with it on my own before reaching out to support.
I ended up in an email chain with the lovely Michelle, who was great, but we couldn’t find a fix.
Most companies would have called it there. Instead, Michelle looped in Amal. We went back and forth for a while—still no luck.
Again, I figured what I was trying to do was just impossible. But then Amal dragged Iceman into the mix.
To keep it intentionally vague: I sent something to Amal, he passed it to Iceman, and Iceman actually cracked it. They found a solution that literally didn’t exist before, which eventually helped a bunch of other people who probably have no idea where the fix even came from.

I was just some random guy in a small country 12,000 km away and 31 time zones off. DT could have easily said, “Sorry, we tried,” and moved on. Instead, they went above and beyond. That’s why I’m still around and why they have my loyalty and why a particular crack exists, because of DTs outstanding customer service and Icemans willingness to help out.
A nimber of years later and many more implants I’m even more impressed with DT and have never experienced a negative interaction.

I’ve been around this forum long enough to see this happen over and over. Even when people come in “guns blazing” and pissed off, they almost always leave satisfied.

That being said…
I am genuinely curious: has anyone actually had a bad experience or sub-par customer service from DT? I’d like to hear the other side of the coin.

We might even be able to get you some resolution
