And taginfo doesn’t read the fob at all.
Are you using Android or iPhone? I’d be shocked if it’s android… not surprised if it’s iPhone
iPhone.
It has no issue reading my NExT but the fob does nothing.
It’s because apple sees no value in reading iso14443a transponders that are not NFC compliant or NFC formatted. Try on Android?
Don’t have one handy - will have to try that tomorrow! Thanks for your help so far.
By the way, what value does taginfo add that the Proxmark dump doesn’t already shows?
The chip is NXP, and taginfo is made by NXP, and NXP does a whole lot more poking and prodding NXP chips to try to identify everything going on there than the proxmark3 does.
Full scan attached!
taginfo.txt (11.5 KB)
Ok so this shows it’s a Mifare Plus 2k chip with memory sector arrangement. A much more absolute chip ID than what the proxmark3 currently offers. You might be able to sniff keys used if you insert the proxmark3 between this fob and the door during a real access session.
But if I can enroll ID’s, does this even matter?
If you can enroll IDs then you should be able to enroll probably any iso14443a transponder ID. The trick will be figuring out how the access system processes the read of the chip ID. Some systems need certain chip types enabled, and like other types of security mechanisms waived or disabled for that chip type.
Yeah, is that not this from my earlier screenshot?
Otherwise, is my best bet to just get the Card Pack and if I can enroll one of those, I should be pretty good with the implant?
If I had to guess, I would think that the proximity 1356 option is what you would want.
Yep, but I don’t want a giant needle just to hope it works
Try this?
Did you try enrolling the CUID or legit MIFARE Classic 1k cards you had or just try tapping them on a reader?
The CUID doesn’t even register a beep.
The legit MIFARE card I have beeps but doesn’t seem to want to let me enroll it. It’s a legit MIFARE card, but not sure they are meant to work on this system.
Update - none of the 5 test cards even register a beep on the door.
What now?!
Are you trying to enroll them or just scan? Some systems ignore unenrolled tags.
Just scan them.
This system seems to beep and flash red if it’s not enrolled.
I’ll try to un-enroll something that works to confirm.
Can you clone the legit tag to the magic MIFARE test cards and give them another whirl?
from your original card can you send the contents of block 0 here?
