Show Off What's it gots in it's pocketses?

As a former smoker I’ve perfected opening beer bottles with a lighter to any object and now I can just open a bottle with another bottle…

I used to do that, with lighters, concrete edges and my teeth but the comfort of not having to struggle in a moment of relaxation is worth it. Plus I already carry an knife anyway so it might as well prepare the snak AND open the drinks

Indeed, that is a sexy knife, and very much my style of knife also; the only thing yours doesn’t have that I personally would like it to have, serrations.

If you like a fixed blade, I can recommend a Gerber Epic, which would be similar in size to your Opened Kershaw

Pocket, boot, cross draw, scout carry etc. all viable carry options

Lovely! But also a bit big for pockets, I wish it could fold

Some of you guys need a robot safe scabbard instead:

Seriously, it’s a better solution, and it doesn’t have a size limit.

Also, I want to have that body instead of my current meat sack…

i used to be a Knife snob. Back when i worked in the oil field i needed soemthing that could maintain an edge and a beating. Gerber, Kershaw, Benchmade all were garbage in what i had to use. Coldsteel knives though, those were my holy grail. I had 2 that i switched between and jesus i tortured those and i couldnt believe how well it maintained its sharpness.

Now, since im not in that much of a demand of a knife and my knifework is limited to opening kids packages quality of the knife steel is significantly lower, but i would highly reccomend any of their voyager line. No bells and whistles like bottle openers or lights or anything like that, but just good quality steel and a crazy sharp edge.

So my Nitecore Tiny died… Or well it no longer holds a chage and the battery is starting to swell so I don’t want to keep it charged at all.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good flashlight that’s rechargable? I’d like one that has a red beam as well for night vision reasons.

The Coast G23 looks good but the rechargable battery is hard to find. Does anyone know of a li-ion standard battery size that’s about the same size as 2 AAAs? The one from Coast is a 10850 with built-in protection. It’s on Amazon for less than on the Coast website even if it’s slightly overpriced.

Ok, kinda answered my own question but I’m still open to suggestions.

Crowdfunded that one when it was a Kickstarter. It’s awesome:

WUBEN X3 Mini Rechargeable Flashlight with Charging Base 180 Degree EDC Keychain Flashlight Twist Ip65 Waterproof Magnet Pocket Flashlight 10 Mode Type-C Lanyard for Camping, Outdoor,Inspection, Gift - Amazon.com

It’s rechargeable. There is a charging box available for charging the light on the go, that acts also as a light diffuser. It has a red ligh, small screen, rotatable head, magnetic base, … The white model glows in the dark.

• Phone
• Way too many keys (though decreasing as I convert to RFID locks)
• Wallet containing the usual: cash, credit cards, store cards, driving license, social security cards and…

10cm Vernier caliper, wallet finding location tag, DT diagnostic card, Horizon isometric drawing tool and an NTAG glassy injected “subdermally” in the wallet! You can just make it out as one of the horizontal ridges under the bottom right hand corner of the DT DC.

Should we be concerned about how many of you profess to the everyday carrying of survival/burglary/security equipment and knives?! You can’t all be special forces!

The Nitecore Thumb 85 also fits the bill. Although I’m not sure if I want to buy another light that requires soldering and potentially flex pcb origami to replace the battery, if you can find one that has the same dimensions five years from now…

I found another light that doesn’t have the red beam but it comes with a standard replaceable battery, it’s the ThruNite T1S V2.
Some reviews complain that the included battery is a protected cell and that this makes the light slightly longer but that it also works with unprotected cells. However, I don’t like unprotected cells, especially when user accessible. :fire:

I also looked at the Coast XP11R and the Acebeam E75 but those are too big for what I’m looking for and lack the red beam.

How about this, It has a built in battery AND replaceable battery, it also has multiple colour combinations to choose from

I cycle the RovyVon E8 Angel Eyes in my flashlight carry. It also has a built in lithium battery and takes a replaceable AAA

Two white LEDs at the front, and a red, white and UV trio on the side.

It also has glow in the dark resin used inside the clear case in parts which is useful for finding it at times.
