Eiger tools just got back to me on the caliper card:

Hello Lab Rat,
We are currently preparing to make it available for purchase from overseas, so we will post an update when it becomes available.

Presumably by “post an update” they mean on the Kickstarter campaign page.

I lost this pen in my last move but thankfully was able to find it a few days ago. Had to clean it and fill it up with new ink. We get attached to the things that we carry and use every day, don’t we?

I also have a question about lighters now that I’m 3D printing a lot. I’m using a Bic to clean up the occasional stringing artifacts and the white border that I get when removing the brim of my ABS parts. I know that this is the wrong thread but lighters are closer to EDC, I think.

I’m thinking about getting something a little nicer and refillable, and that’s probably going to be a metal Clipper. But I’m kinda curious about Zippos? How good are they as a heat source? And how much soot does the liquid fuel produce?

Here we go…

  1. Ankle IFAK
  2. Spare mag
  3. Pepper spray
  4. Benchmade SOCP Mini
  5. Sig P365XL
  6. Phlster Enigma with sport band
  7. Wallet
  8. Keys
    -8a. Car
    -8b. “Livin’ the dream” tag
-8c. PPB-1 (traffic light control key)
    -8d. Handcuff key
    -8e. FEO-K1 (fire elevator key)
    -8f. Deadbolt key
    -8g. Mailbox key
    -8h. Safe key
  9. Mints
  10. Gloves (two pairs)
  11. Earbuds
  12. Leatherman Charge with inscription “Do you think, or do you know?”
  13. Leatherman bit kit in 3D printed case
  14. Fenix PD36R
  15. Lighter
  16. Pager
  17. Rite in the Rain EMS Notebook
  18. Chapstick
  19. Sharpie
  20. IYKYK
  21. Sobriety Chip

Thank fuck for purses and cargo pants!

Oh that’s very nice. Thanks for so nicely linking stuff too

How do you like that leatherman pouch? I briefly considered getting one, but I’d never belt wear it… So it’d just be for internal organization.

That looks like an interesting flashlight.

Pocket saw? I don’t know what that is, and it’s ok if you don’t want to explain. But I’m curious about it now.

I’ve owned a bunch of Fenix lights over the years, both personally and for work. I absolutely recommend them.

I’ll DM you for the other

Shout-out to this little fucker. It’s been on my keys for years. It’s stupidly bright for its size, no plastic , waterproof and charges through usb… Really no downsides other than the obvious size of the battery

They make very good products. My warrior pro 3s is a great flashlight and also can be used as offensive/defensive tool. I am using it daily for dog walks and occasionally mounted to my airsoft rifle when playing.

Very true and their US custmer service is great (the EU one not so much)
I have the Seeker 3 and Perun 2 for urbex and lightpaining. My only pet peeve is that they don’t use usb-c so I made my own adapter:

Had one of these for years… Little travel USB-C charger.

:flushed: do they sell these?!

I prefer to have a USB C port on the flashlight. A separate charger if yet another thing to lose…

Checked through my purchase history, it’s an “Olight Oport”, bought it from Olight store in Nov 2021. Appears to be out of stock, and/or no longer made.

The i1r2 pro has it built in

Gotta recommended the Olight imini 2, only 50 lumens so not the brightest but is tiny, magnetic and has a built-in charger. Perfect for the most random situations. Only thing I own that isn’t usb-c though :frowning:

Recently fell in love with the oclip.

USB-C charge port, couple brightness settings, a clip and I was just reminded it has a ridiculously strong magnet when it popped my xG3 out of its two week old no-longer-healed pocket.

Owwie.
