I have a few stories about fake transistors. Including some BJTs that didn’t have the correct pinout… And some mosfets that did not match the absolute maximum ratings by an order of magnitude.
Still, it’s kinda weird for a finished product… But most LED bulbs run pretty hot and the thermal protection doesn’t always work so I guess it shouldn’t be surprising.
