Is that a spudger!? Look, unless you want to become a robot at some point, you probably don’t want to ever use that to gain access to the inside of your body.

:emoji_mindblown:

you should see the size of the spoon my fella used when installing my dUG4T. thing was massive :face_in_clouds:

I’m just a bit concerned that one of those implements looks like a tool for opening electronics. That’s all.

Of course I’m expecting a large dermal elevator to be used for making the pocket for that big implant.

Neither of them are spudgers lol

That one on the left is a genuine ā€œmulti-purpose spatula shaped objectā€, including but not limited to ā€œspudgerā€ :classic_tongue:

Well then, I’m furious because I purchased it under the impression it was a wax sculpting tool lol. The other one is definitely a dermal elevator. Both spent 6 hours in 12% hydrogen peroxide and were rinsed in sterile saline before use.

They are sold for several purposes

The important thing is, that they are tools that are not made for digginging into your flesh with them. They probably are not made out of good quality metal, maybe are nickel plated or contain other toxic metal.

It should not matter if they are marketed as wax sculpting tool or clay sculpting tool or coke spoon or spudger.

But I already said that on the bhd discord in a discussion about your spdgers

They’re stainless steel, allegedly. If they were nickel plated, I believe they would react more aggressively with the hydrogen peroxide. Anyway I’ve got some more proper tools on the way.

I just used the custom needle and then put the DESFire in directly. It slid right in. What’s the advantage of using the… spatula, spudger, coke spoon whatever we’re calling it.

Threats to a human for their treatment of AI characters? I’m curious, but YouTube thinks I’m a robot. Recommend any search terms so I can look what it’s referring to?

Speaking of which, your peertube instance has some cool videos on it.

Because I moved these posts out of the ā€œinstall and picturesā€ thread you probably dont have the context.

The install they are talking about was for a ā€œModuleā€ so a needle pocket would not be large enough

Seen here

I did see that one as well. I don’t have experience with scalpel installs (though my grocery store just added tap-to-pay, so I intend to look into it soon).

But I also saw him using it for the DESFire in the finger:

Good point, my guess is tighter skin with less wiggle room so some ā€œspudgingā€ may have been required.

I see. I did put my flex implants in moderately soft skin. What is the intended function of these tools? To cut the pocket wider? Stretch it out momentarily? Pry it up to fit in the implant?

Sorry, I suppose we probably already have resources somewhere, PDFs or a thread or something where there’s more information on these processes that I should read once I’m ready to look into installing a payment chip.

Well if anyone else is curious about a followup. Tindie came back online a few days ago. Total down time was roughly 2 weeks. Apparently tindie was sold and is under new management. Pretty much immediately after the sale the site went down for maintance. There’s no word on who the new owners are.

Two weeks? Sounds like a hostile takeover to me. Nobody plans a 2 week outage.
