All in all i prefer cash over anything - I dont get why people pay much stuff via card. (yes its obvious more comortable then carrying all the heavy 100$ bills in your nasty dirty stinky wallet but common…)

Why? You can bet that if a cryptocurrency gets to be the standard, it will be surveilled and tracked the same way a normal bank account would be. The man won’t allow for an anonymous fiat to gain widespread acceptance

A switch of the banks to Crypro would in principle not change or move anything…
I sure hope we don’t switch to crypto as a currency method at any scale until we find a reliable way to sequester all the carbon that mining it creates.

Well, thats a huge amount of energy. given that its not used for everyday transaction of a big % of the population.
The people that do a lot of transactions are really few…

imagine everyone gets their mony directly on their personal wallet. not controled by any bank.
banks would be obsolete^
Most of this energy is consumed by mining.
More transactions=more transactions that need to be confirmed by miners as far as i understand??

The “Deutsche Bank” for example invested 1,8 billions in over 7 arms companys(2015-2017).
And the Fucking arms companys from germany are direct exporters to the war zones.
so its NOT “a countrys/corpo business”
And thats not just this one bank that is doing that…

Financing war is not the same as profiting from war. Still, lending money to someone who is buying weapons is financing a war. Both are horrible, but at different scales.
Regardless, as long es there is money, there will be banks or some other equivalent institutions holding capital and lending. Anything else is but a pipe dream
So you are saying that if somebody finances war they re not profiting from it?
They do that for the Profit
You can directly spend money or loan money to arm someone - i.e. finance a war. You can hold stakes in an arms company and thus indirectly sell weapon - thus profiting from a war. Or you can do both, which some probably do

Wirhdrawing cash and using it in the store doesn’t (might not) work tho, supermarkets know what you bought and the notes you bought it with and could easily give the bank both, which also knows the notes you got. I believe supermarkets are known to sell data about ppl, I guess it’s normal for any larger chain. And avoiding that by getting large notes split by small purchases in small stores is probably kinda like washing money and idk… I believe that the € is tracable and act like that. #Monero
