It looks like Rosco got a Boo boo

Did you run out of Duct Tape?

Maybe we just finally convinced Rosco to get a fingermagnet?

… Really?

Yes, I’m a cheapstake. Or rather, I’m tired of wasting costly bandaids that invariably come off fingertips when I wash my hands. A tissue and some tape work just as well for pennies on the dollar when you have to change them 10 times a day.

I have a xg3v1, lightly used

I kid I kid, re implanting it again in myself someday is probably sketchy enough

How’s that Wilka E218 Easy 2.0 NFC padlock going Rosco?

It cost so much I can’t afford bandaids anymore you see…

Superglue works better.

I’ve given up on superglue or other super-expensive medical-branded cyanoacrylate derivatives on wounds and skin cracks: yes it provides instant relief and stops bleeding, but as long as it’s there, it stops the wound from healing. So it’s a vicious circle: you use the glue for relief, and you keep using it for more relief because the underlying problem never goes away.

Just gotta use the right tool for the right problem.

Deep cut? No superglue.

Kinda superficial? Superglue.

Also, a tube here is $0.99

I will post you some

Random superglue derail,

I recently got told to try this stuff

It’s 3$ instead of 1$ so still no big investment,
(Unless you bought a 400 euro lock I suppose)

The gel control aspect is LEGIT

Too many times the regular shit is too thin and runs and causes that white build up around your seams
(Krazing? I forget the term)

Or it bonds instantly, like the nano second it stops moving… which you probably weren’t ready for

This stuff has the consistency of vasoline and gives you 5 second before it sets

It doesn’t matter what type of superglue I try, I always end up with my fingers glued together…

Well, not always, but I tend to get similar results with both the regular and gel stuff.

I haven’t been nearly as messy with it, fwiw only 1 bit on my fingers after 30-40 uses

I finally managed to shoot this without looking too conspicuous this morning:

The driver wasn’t too happy none that I was filming him without his consent though…

Jesus H. Christ on a corndog… More hours wasted for nothing.

I’ve been wondering since yesterday why my Halo reader had such a hard time getting a read off of my xBT at home on my couch. So I brought it to the workshop to take a look. After careful inspection, nothing seemed out of wack. So I took another reading and… no problem. Strange.

Anyway, I went back to my desk, tried again and… Nothing. Zip. Nada. That’s like 30 seconds later.

Back to the workshop, more dismantling and testing, and… it works. Rats! It’s magic.

Anyway, long story short, after two hours, I finally cracked it: what’s near my desk and under my sofa are my high-power LF readers. The Halo simply stops working when it’s within 6 ft of the damn readers. I really have to get quite far from the damn things to make it work again. Wow!

Have you tested your SureSense to see if that also gets affected?

I didn’t have it around to test. I’ll try it tomorrow. Actually it’d be interesting: if it’s unaffected, it means the long range readers put out a lot of RF noise (which wouldn’t surprised me one bit) and the Halo isn’t properly shielded against them.

his arm is uniquely identifiable? also, just tell him your phone is a CCTV security camera and the bus is operating on public property.

I don’t see any tattoos, scars, or anything else that would make his arm identifiable but some people are paranoid.

And something tells me that unlike most people here, the driver doesn’t have small, chip shaped, bumps on his hands.

I was going to make that point, but Europe has weird laws… never know if someone public space meaning no expectation of privacy is or isn’t a thing there
