Installed. And despite the size of the needle, it did not hurt. I am pretty chuffed.

Edit. This was meant to go in the xMagic thread. I have been drinking

Awesome stuff mate.

I really need to go through the forum to drag out all the similar comments about the the larger needle being no real difference from the smaller one

aka , it’s not the size of the needle

Pretty sure this is the first time this quote’s alternative meaning is false!

I will say I was a bit worried. With one exception, I have always used a numbing cream. This time, I held a freezer ice block on it for about 10 minutes. I did feel it when it actually pierced. The pain was more like noting it had inserted as opposed to pain. I would say a bee sting is much more painful, as is a paper cut.

As soon as it pierced, the sensation disappeared, such as it was. I had had a few drinks beforehand but nothing which would impair me or stop me being able to legally drive (here it is 0.05%).

I think the real fear is the size of the needle. It really does not hurt. I am happy to boost the video if anyone wants to see.

I meant post not boost but boost sounds cool. I think we should all boost from now on!

And posted in the implant install thread.

I apologise for the language and jokes. This is normal Australian drinking humour where we take the piss out of each other and is not meant to be offensive.

Because unlike the delta configuration, the Y configuration provides a neutral and allows you to run single phase loads.

“It’s not a phase mom, it’s actually three phases!”

Ok, I’m the nerd here. :robot_gundam:

@enginerd, I grabbed the following quote from here, in case you wanted to save it to your archives

FROM THE MOMENT I UNDERSTOOD THE WEAKNESS OF MY FLESH, IT DISGUSTED ME. I CRAVED THE STRENGTH AND CERTAINTY OF STEEL. I ASPIRED TO THE PURITY OF THE BLESSED MACHINE. YOUR KIND CLING TO YOUR FLESH, AS IF IT WILL NOT DECAY AND FAIL YOU. SOON, THE CRUDE BIOMASS THAT YOU CALL A TEMPLE WILL WITHER AND YOU WILL BEG MY KIND TO SAVE YOU. BUT I AM ALREADY SAVED THE MACHINE IS IMMORTAL.

It’s from the mechanicus game apparently

You know me quite well

:robot_marvin: :robot_windows:

Yeap, it can be found in the trailer for that game:

Maybe I should stick a link to that under my skin?

I think you would probably quite like that, Grab yourself a dedicated xNT, implant it somewhere out of the usual locations, Write a little NDEF ‘MechRoll’ for yourself and others to scan

Maybe under a mech gearing tattoo

HA, whatever, they are just words
Who gives a fuck :interrobang:
Also it’s not like you didn’t warn people, and it’s obvious you don’t intend offence.

“Fuck 'em if they can’t take a joke!”

Anyway, that’s how everybody talks, right? except for your funny accent

Apparently, the Original Mad Max was overdubbed in the American cinematic release because “they” didn’t think Americans would understand the Australian accent.

Oh, and Bevel Down “better” next time.

I can’t wait to see a Flex Install

I still have room for a few bytes but I like the idea of getting another implant.

Comments are filled with “you should get a Yubikey” over and over. They seem to fail to realize that the likelihood this person would be carrying their Yubikey with them is very high, thus it would not protect them. Perhaps a covert implantable Fido security device you’d never find unless you know it was there?
