May I ask how your name is pronounced? It must be one of:

  1. /ˈæməl/
  2. /ˈeɪ.məl/
  3. /əˈmɔːl/

The variant that works with the joke is #3. I don’t recall you pronouncing it specifically, but I’ve heard everybody else pronounce it that way. That’s why the joke worked for all of us I think.

Unless of course you’ve suddenly decided it’s pronounce another way to win Best Post 2020 :slight_smile:

Now I just have to figure out how to use a real soldering station. This is quite the improvement from my $5 30W Harbor Freight soldering iron. That one you plug in, tip gets sorta hot. This one has knobs and such…

Very grateful to @amal. He actually sent out a real prize for my lame dad joke!
