It looks like the iOS 11 Beta has Core NFC exposed to “Detect NFC tags and read messages that contain NDEF data”. Tag types 1-5 supported. I don’t see a thing on tag writing yet unless I’m missing something.

Yeah it’s not likely to support writing just yet. It even says here that it is a “reader mode”… not an “NFC interface” or just “NFC support”.
Yeah, I’m sure Apple will then come up with iStickers that do things so they have something else to sell

Looks like reading NFC NDEF tags is going supported on iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus(for now).
