Unable to write to Magic Ring v2 from Flipper Zero

I have previously written to the ring, but now - no matter if I try to write a NFC URL or other card that I should be able to.

Checking on Flipper Zero whether Magic Tag shows “Magic card detected! Magic Type: Gen1A/B”. All good… but when I try writing I´m getting the error “This is wrong card. Writning this file is not supported for this magic card.”

It´s just that I know it is supported…

I´m using the Momentum firmware. I´ve updated the Flipper, formatted the SD-card, erased everything on the ring and tried several times with both compatible NFC cards, NFC URL and others… all failed.

What can I do next to troubleshoot?

It sounds like your source card may not be an ordinary Mifare Classic

How are you trying to write URLs to it?

Have you tried using an app like NFC Tools?

I used the NFC URL app on the Flipper. I thought that should work just fine, but no…

I have tried the NFC Tools app, but it has been a while. Not too good experience with it, maybe because I’m using an iPhone. I have an Android laying around, and will try that one as well.

Could it be an error on sector 0 by any chance? Any way of determining that?

What kind of error do you mean?

Do you have a PM3?

I can send you a different mifare classic dump file which you can try to write to the ring, if you want
