Understanding xSIID specs

Am I right in saying that there are only 2 differences between an xSIID and an NTAG 216:

  • the xSIID allows for the addition of an LED
  • the xSIID offers 1912 bytes as opposed the NTAG’s 888 bytes

Correct?

Mostly correct on both points but accessing the additional memory of the xSIID is not straightforward. So for most applications, the only noticeable difference is the LED.

They are different chips and have different capabilities but I’m assuming that you’re planning to use the implant as a business card or something like that.

the xsiid has a capability container of 1k which you can use for NDEF, the second kb of storage can be accessed manually but you can’t store ndef in it
