Usage and Position of first 2 Devices

yeah… probe the ground wire terminal input and the 5V+ output pin. you could use the ground pin of the regulator but being so close it would be easy to slip and short the 5V and ground pins, possibly damaging the regulator. it’s still easy to slip one probe and do that, but less easy than managing two probe tips in close proximity

If this is true, I might mess with it, just to see what happens. Though I would need the help of someone who has less access than I do.

oh also… just for fun… try moving the P1 power jumper … it might be opposite what you expect. Take a measurement with the RDC and NExT, then power down, move the jumper, then power up and try again… see what the difference is.

I just did this on Room 107 and it is exactly 5v.

That’s a thought. How does one “power down”? Remove the DC+ cable?

yeah

noticed the dip switches here… looks like keypad is turned on… is there a keypad attached to this reader? does this reader beep while the other doesn’t (switch 2)? asking because the reader with the switch descriptions printed on it has different settings, including keypad off and beeper off.

P1 jumper on the Legit ProxPro’s designate if it is on a metal wall or a non-metal wall.

Yeah it is actually part of the Weigand response that is generated on each read

The only reason i know this is i purchased a couple proxpro’s and an R90 in hopes to strip this data out on read and harvest its high powered antenna for our Injector Reader that ive been testing. Spoiler: I cant.

yeah i saw the switch 1 description was hardware id… crazy

This is @Pilgrimsmaster 's picture, not one from my building. We have no keypads and all of the readers beep .
