Use cases?! Doorknob and a doorknob

Feeling kinda dumb, but still excited about my device.

Trying to copy the fob from the doorknob fob.

NFC Tag:

ISO 14443-3A

NXP - Mifacre Classic 1k

My device (according to Flipper):

NTAG I2C Plus 1K

Apologies in advance for my ignorance and any help or direction is appreciated.

Trying to make a fun project resulting from some tragic times.

We have all been there…

They are 2 different chips, BUT
if you own the lock you are trying to access, rather than copy, you would be better to enroll your NTAG I2C.

There is a reasonable chance it will be compatiable.

Can you provide a link to the lock?

Haha fair response, yes I definitely own the lock.
Here’s a link to the amazon item:

So I did try to set it to pair a new keyfob, and it didn’t register when I held my hand up to it.
The implant is on the top of my hand between the thumb and forefinger on my right hand.

I thought perhaps adding a keyfob, and attempting to copy to my implant would be a possible workaround.

I can see your thinking. But effectively all you’re doing is replicating the same thing differently…

How long ago was your implant installed?

Would generally recommend or suggest it takes approximately two weeks before you are healed and should expect any reliable reads.

The one thing going against you is a battery operated at lock with a very small implant can sometimes be quite tricky.

There exists some repeater stickers that have literally changed the game and made previously in accessible locks now usable.

There is a good chance that these will help you.

RSP or MFGC

Do you happen to have any test cards?

If you have an I2C test card, try and enroll that.

Ahaha 2 weeks? Well I am sorry for wasting your time, and appreciate your help.
I had it installed yesterday, and I guess I’m a bit of an eager beaver. Swelling was down and I was getting readings.

Not at all.

Two weeks is a reasonable expectation. Some people sooner some people later.

Has the lock beeped at all when you presented your implant?

Also looking at your lock, Chances are it will be compatible BUT i’ve never tried that one myself, however it looks very similar to a number that I have had a play with, i expect it won’t be super easy to read and a repeater sticker will certainly make a big difference, but just setting your expectations that sometimes, battery powered locks can lack the power to read an xSeries.

Can confirm, one of my amazon specials just will not read an xSeries, RSP or no. A fob is the smallest thing I’ve gotten a read on.

Aaaaay thank you! haha
The lock did not beep when presenting it. I ordered some repeater stickers that will hopefully help.

Even with a repeater?

I tried everything. Repeater, field extender…

An xSeries just wasn’t cutting it. The xfd wasn’t getting a blink at all either.
