I have seen some of these… most are network / wifi options… so you either install a special USB driver on your host computer and the remote network device has 1 or several USB ports and “connect” the USB device to your host machine over wifi or wired network… or I have also seen a dongle that plugs in and a remote dongle that you plug your USB device into.
