Vivokey NFC Passkey Bridge and Graphene

Good evening all.

Recently, I’ve been trying to switch all my security centered stuff onto my Graphene Os Device, on a Pixel 9a phone. I, after some difficulty, managed to download the NFC passkey bridge onto the device, but find myself stopped at the issue of requiring google play services to do anything with it. Is there any way around this since Graphene is de-googled? Or am I hooped in that regard?

hooped, sadly. Bridge doesn’t talk to websites or apps directly it plugs into Android as a Credential Manager provider, and on stock Android the passkey half of Credential Manager is brokered by Google Play Services. So if it isn’t there, nothing ever hands Bridge a request to answer.

Have you tried it with Google play services installed from the Graphene app store?

GrapheneOS runs the play services in a sandbox and isolates it from the wider system. Not ideal but still better than a normal Android OS

Interesting but if knowledge. Thank you, I shall look into it.

I shall take a look, this very well may be what I’m looking for.
