My day is basically setting up servers, cleaning up whatever the installers managed to break, and dealing with every oddball credential format and reader quirk you can imagine. So, I get plenty of chances to test things in the wild.

If you are not ready for a Flex just yet, a xMagic might be a good option for your P0 - L

But really, the flex is not too different with regards to installation, but the capabilities are considerably more than an xSeries
