Two weeks+ have passed since my xDF2 was implanted by a licensed piercer and I’ve had no luck with any form of connection from my phone. Diagnostic tools light up like Christmas decorations but NFC Tools, NFC.cool, MCT and other tools refuse to establish a connection.
My worry is that the implant is still too deep, as it is perceptible by touch, but not exactly visible (skin discolors only partially when flexing the injection site). I did not try to test the device before injection as I did not want to break the sterile barrier, so I waited the estimated time for swelling to go down and have since tried daily to establish a connection.
It has been ~3 months, if it is still not working, that is not a good sign.
An RSP or Hammy Sticker would certainty improve performance, but it wont fix something that is broken.
The chances of a faulty implant a very very low, but never zero.
The Flipper should work
Your phone should work
What else have you tried?
From here I would suggest you get a few stickers (it will be a worthwhile investment Regardless of the outcome)
This will give as good of an answer as to the status of your implant as anything else except removal and inspection.
If the sticker works, that would indicate, that it is maybe too deep, if it doesn’t work, you likely have a faulty implant
