Xglow not glowing?

(First post, forgive me)

I inserted an aqua xglow into my forearm today. I initially used the big bandaid, but switched to a smaller bandaid once it stopped bleeding. I can feel 90% of the implant outside the bandaid.

I used the suggested UV flashlight that’s optional with the purchase. I had it pointed at the implant for at least half an hour. No glow, the area just like mildly tanned/sunburned. (The flashlight did make other things fluoresce.)

Did the implant go too deep? Do I have a defective implant? I’ve been interested in biohacking for a while, but this is my first time actually doing it.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Wait about two weeks for it to heal.

Rn its swollen and the pocked is filled with dried blood.

Ok, it’s been two weeks and I’m still not getting any response to the UV flashlight. Any ideas? I can feel the implant and nothing seems infected or obviously swollen.

And uh, if this ends up being a warranty issue, am I supposed to cut it out?

have you tried getting into a truly dark environment? even glow scars which are closer to the surface can be very easily drowned out

I don’t know how deep the xglow is inserted, but I can’t get anything even in full darkness.

I would check to see if it’s an NFC or RFID tag or maybe even a magnet at this point

It may just take more time. Pooled blood might just be taking that long to be removed by your body.

Also everyone’s body is different.. your forearm might have a thicker fat layer or there may be some other reason it may not work at all in they installation location.

Finally, aqua is slightly less bright than green so it may take just that much longer for it to be visible.

You might also try other light sources like your phone LED flashlight. It may be more intense than the UV flashlight and have less issues being blocked if you have more melanin in your skin than the next guy.

Just over 2 weeks, I wouldn’t be too worried just yet.

It sounds like it just needs more time
