I got an xMagic installed in L1 back on September 25th. I’m able to happily read and write the HF side where I want it to. I haven’t been able to get a read on the LF side at all after all this time.
On my PM3 easy, at best, I can get 50~100mV drop when using lf tune. My xEM in R0 on the other hand, has a drop of ~400mV. I will sometimes get a raw reading using the PM3, but it always seems to be garbage.
I’ve also tried reading on my flipper zero with no success.
I don’t want to get too ahead of myself and start spamming commands or anything. Any next steps to try before going through an unbricking process?
Roughly 1 inch from the left side and from the top. I place my xMagic along that line.
I’ve also seen an issue with a T5577 card that @hoker was nice enough to send me. My flipper wouldn’t read it at all until I wrote something to it. The xMagic uses the same chip so it’s possible that’s the issue.
Try placing the xMagic in that orientation and try writing a random card to it. Then try reading it. Good luck!
the t5577 in your xmagic will have come preconfigured as an em4100
on your proxmark do lf em 410x reader -@ this will put your proxmark in continual search mode for em4100 tags, while in this mode use the lf antenna (big red ring if you’ve got an easy) as a wand and wave it around all different positions over your chip to see if you can pick it up.
if that doesn’t work, make sure you give jammy’s advice a go. make sure you don’t have the silicone case on your flipper too.
No dice. Reads my xEM great there but nothing on the xMagic. Tried without the case as well. Tried writing a cred to it and still nothing.
I did give this a shot as well too before posting.Tried just about all the positions I could think of. Even ended up covering all the screws with kapton tape to rule out my skin shorting the pins.
one last thing lf t55 detect on the implant in multiple positions not pulling anything either?
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand just one more thing, you haven’t used any handheld cloning guns on your implant have you? a blue or a white one?
that just about covers all the troubleshooting i could think of. if it is busted damn that is unfortunate… you need to hit the button on the website and get in touch with support.
This is surprising, I find the Flipper easier to read LF than PM3, both work, just Flipper less finicky.
I was going to add what Jammy did, but not as well.
I was going to suggest you used your LF xFD and map out the antenna, and remember to read perpendicular rather than parallel.
I also don’t want to use a “wait longer” cop out, as you are coming up on a month after install, but this can be delayed by the healing process of individuals and also aggravating the area through impacts and/or just day to day life.
You may still be healing
What position have you installed?
Have you ever had it read? just after install for example?
My gut feeling is that it will come right with just a little more time
HaHa, What I meant to say was:
We usually recommend 2 weeks to heal and reliably read an implant, and as you are at nearly at a month, “waiting longer” isn’t really applicable in this situation, HOWEVER this timeline can be delayed by the healing process of individuals and also aggravating the area through impacts and/or just day to day life so it may take longer than you have waited so far, therefore, you still may have to wait even longer
Just wanted to make sure everyone is on the same page. @Ditto got their implant installed on sept 25th, that was nearly two months ago. Did you misinterpret the date or am I confused?
That is so awesome of you! Thank you! I’ve been enjoying the HF repeaters I recently bought from you. I can finally read my apex on my iPhone now! Apple needs to get their shit together.
Sounds good, gonna go down this road and report back.
Tried this about 4 times across different areas of my xMagic and no dice
Started where I was getting the largest voltage drop using lf tune and then moved on to the rest of the implant.
