xSIID And Ubiquiti Access?

Hi!
I’ve spent ages lurking and think I’ve finally decided… on an xSIID

One of the uses I’d like is at work, where they have Ubiquiti Access everywhere. I see that it’s shown as compatible in the matrix, but wasn’t entirely sure because there is a note about the reader being tricky.

The work readers are a mixture of the lite ones, the pro ones, and the new range of lite and pro readers too.

Was wondering if anyone had any direct experience of these? In case I maybe should choose a different implant… although I think I’d really like the blinkie

Thanks

There are a few people that have used Ubiquiti … my hunch is that it won’t work though.

@chipman ? Didn’t you have Ubiquiti?

Hey,

In the beginning I had the xNT and it was only read by the Samsung Smart locks.
With the Unifi Access Lite and Pro reader (gen1)
this was not read nor with the Aqara U200.
For this purpose I had the FlexMT and FlexMN installed.

Hi Amal,
Yes i use Ubiquiti

Ok! Good job I asked maybe

Your xNT is green Yes in the matrix. Is there more than one version of it? Or is it just the case it didn’t work in your particular implant place (like reader not strong enough in all cases or something)? I see the xSIID has a different chip(?) and also shown green in the matrix

Thanks

Basically the question now is, was it a chip compatibility issue or a readability issue? If it is just a readability issue, perhaps the rsp could help.

Thanks!
There is another thread where @JIMBO mentioned it works with the NEXT.

Is that similar to the xSIID? Or can’t be assumed to work the same

Similar yes…chips nearly identical.

Maybe time for me to just take a chance on it then

Word of caution. UID works for me because I have it in compatibility mode. If you enforce the UBiquity cards it won’t work with next. So your mileage will vary depending on if your work is okay with running in compatibility mode.

I have unifi access and can confirm the xsiid works with it. UID only though.

The unifi cards can also be converted to a flex if you wish to use the additional security too

Amazing responses thanks everyone

Work are already running this mode actually and some people are already using NFC stickers and similar.

Excited. Going to order and see how I get on. Will report back

@pac Trying to orientate your picture in my mind! Is the oval shape at the top of the image a UA Lite reader? And you have the chip in the back of your hand? Edit-ok so the second question is obvious, ignore that…

Thats correct, it’s not mounted in that picture, was just hanging off of the ethernet cable from my rack as a test
