TESTING INCLUDING READ RANGES

THESE ARE DESIGNED AS EXTENDERS NOT REPEATERS

However there are some noticeable range improvements

SMA Testing

Baseline ( Flipper vs. xLED )

Naked = 10mm
SMA extender = 20mm

Baseline ( Flipper vs. FLEX)
Naked = 30mm
SMA extender = 30mm

JST Testing
The large,\ antenna is not designed for an xSeries, therefore it should be expected to work for xSeries, however it does work well for Flex implants

Baseline ( Flipper vs. xLED)

small antenna ~50% range increase
Naked = 10mm
Small antenna = 15mm

Baseline ( Flipper vs. FLEX)

20mm for flex on small antenna
30mm on large antenna

IPEX Testing
No testing carried out

TEARDOWN

N/A
JST, are keyed, Make sure you plug them in correctly and fully, when unpluging, do so carefully without applying pressure to the solder joints

SMA , ensure they are not loose, finger tight should be enough, or tighten lightly with a small spanner

IPEX, line up correctly before pushing down, to remove, pry lightly and pull stright up.

PROs

• 2 different form factors

• Works well with xSeries AND Flex implants ( with the appropriate antenna )

• Does what it says on the tin

• Opens up options for difficult locks

I lost my draft of this post, and rather than write it up again, I will give the readers digest version.

I “recently” got the U.FL (IPEX) version of the Extenders
(I also have the JST and SMA version; See the top post where I reviewed these )

I now have both the 60mm Pro and the 27mm Pro Implant version along with the 150mm cable plus 300mm cable. I played around with the combinations.

The results were close enough to identical to my above testing ( VERY GOOD - but I fucked up my post and lost the testing data) and as you would expect, the implant version works better with implants and this is the version I would recommend to the cyborg community.

If I was to further recommend, it would be, choose the version that suits your purpose, if you are trying to do a low profile discreet install, go for the U.FL (IPEX) version of the Extenders, whereas the JST and SMA versions would likely be more suitable for a robust project.

Happy extending
