Hey looking for someone that could do a Apex flex install in the top of my hand, hopefully within 3 hours drive to Alabama as I live near Huntsville Al and would like to only make a day trip out of it any help is appreciated thanks!

Hey yea they did my xSIID but he said he wouldn’t be able to do the flex installation they did a great job with my implant however.
Was that Kevin? Did he say why?
Kevin did my NExT install back in 2020 but when I asked him about my Apex, he said he can’t do flex installs since it is illegal to use a scalpel in the state of Tennessee unless you are a Doctor.

What sort of flex were you wanting installed? Did you have / show / bring the custom needle?
Yea I sent him and was wanting to get the flexDF2 he said he believed the needle method to be inferior to using the scalpel method, I didn’t press him about using the needle method anyways just told him I would try to seek someone out that felt more comfortable doing it with both methods.
I’ve got a call with him in a few mins.. we’ll see where this goes and update soon.

Awesome if he wanted to attempt the custom needle method I’d love to get him to do it he did fantastic with the xSIID that I brought to him, I can’t stand needles but was very comfortable with him during the process. He also offered to serve as liassion if I did find a medical professional that wanted to try to put the Vivokey Apex Flex in my hand. Thanks for any help!
Oh no editing to say I misspoke I sent him the Desfire but ended up deciding to get the Vivokey Apex Flex instead as it seems superior for my needs

Ok good call. In short, he’s not comfortable working in the hand with the equivalent of a medieval sword, which I totally get. He will refer those out to his medical professional contacts. However, he’s now willing to explore this with both of you if you wanted to have them put into the arm / wrist area.
I’m packing up some sample flex narrow products and needles for him to inspect and install on himself for testing.
If either of you are interested in an arm install, reach out to him. He’ll be open to working with you.

Hey I will message him now thanks so much! I will probably go for the wrist area what spot on the wrist would you recommend for the install of one of the narrow flexes?
cut out a bit of paper around the size of the flex and tape it to different areas .. pick a couple places that make it easy to use. Kevin and you will work together to pick the ideal safe place.
