The DFPlayer has been cast aside in favor of the JQ6500—though its power remains untested upon the breadboard altar. Before the grand assembly, we must first gather the sacred components!

No great artifact is forged without its pieces, and so we begin by assembling the necessary elements for our creation. Only with all components in hand can the ritual proceed!

The PCB, freshly arrived from the forges, the foundation upon which all shall rest.
Cables, to weave the flow of power and signal through the device.
The Power Regulator, to ensure a steady 5V lifeblood.
The Three Core Modules, the heart of our contraption, awaiting their place upon the board.
The Relay Module, a mighty switch, though it must first undergo its transformation.
Soldering Tools, the arcane instruments with which we shall bind the components together.
3M Double-Sided Sticky Pads, to anchor the optocouplers with unwavering strength.
Glue, to secure and fortify the final assembly.

First, the Ritual of Connections – Solder all the cables, trimming them short with precision.

Balance the Flow of Power – Set the regulator to 5V, before a fixing it to the pcb ensuring stable energy for all.

Binding the Core Components – Secure the three enchanted modules to the PCB, trimming excess as needed.

The Relay’s Purification – Remove the eight header pins, and bridge the jumper with solder, modifying it to serve our needs.

Reinforcing the Arcane Link – Affix four 3M double-sided sticky pads to each optocoupler, forming a steadfast bond.

Final Integration – Solder the six wires from the PCB to the relay module, ensuring a perfect union.

Alignment and Fusion – Position the PCB atop the relay module and press down firmly, forging them into a singular entity.

Securing the Veins of Power – A precise spot of glue locks the cables in place at the relay’s base.

The house of git-eth and their dragon will indeed be the protectors of this scared artifact and its enchantments. I have but 2 quarrels left with the cantrip. but i will resolve these quarrels And i will make everything available post haste.

If you wanted to make it even smaller, you could probably replace the relay module with a few smart switch ICs, like the BTS50060.

These things are a high current, high side switching MOSFET, with all of the associated drive circuitry built in. All you have to do is hook them up to 12V and ground, and you can send a 3.3V or 5V signal to switch them on. They should be practically a drop in replacement for the relay board.

They are a little bit fiddly to solder with an iron (the output should be connected to a large copper pour if you are pulling a large current through them) but if you are set up for hot air/toaster-oven/skillet reflow it should be fairly easy (I just did a few of them the other day with a butane hot air gun).
