The stickers are great, they effectively improve range and remove the need for a specific orientation.
Well, that answers that, iits obviously not too deep, not still healing, with a flipper, not likely a reader orientation issue, so it is unfortunately sounding like you have a faulty implant.
I would suggest you:
reach out to DT on the web page,
hit the help on the bottom right
Submit a ticket (link to this thread)
They may have a few more thing for you to try, and some questions, like your order number.
