Well, I have backed many Kickstarters and one appears dead. One company just admitted defeat about half way through fulfillment. Most of the rest have succeeded. Some have lived up to their potential others have not.
I have only come across one outright fraud, and I didn’t back it.
I’ve had good luck with Kickstarter, but as much as they say that creators are obliged to deliver there is very little you can do to make them.
The way I see it, you’ve gotta treat it as investing in someone’s R&D if you like what they are doing. If you get the product they set out to make thats great, but you can’t treat it like a purchase and expect it will be identical to the way it is sold.
I’ve only had one project go completely bust on me which was a bit of a hit, but in this case its a rather small investment into someone at least trying a new form factor for easy to use RFID things that isnt locked down (cough Keysy cough)
At the very least, just shy of 5M shows people there is a market for this and maybe can drive some investment in cool toys for us all
No problem at all. Honestly I’ve not even scratched the surface of what this can do but the hardware is poised to be a pretty kick ass platform. Time will tell what the firmware will enable eventually, but I’d definitely buy if you’ve not already.
It seam to have more features of interest to me than I originally expected (even if it doesn’t read/write x- implant) … Might me interested if someone change their mind …
