Razer compact keyboard (huntsman or something), not my best choice, it’s annoying to clean and not ergonomic but I want a compact one and there’s isn’t much choice
Logitech mouse G502, love it but so hard to clean. Side scrolling wheel is a must
Sharkoon case, love the minimalist style has some mods like magnet on/off
Poseidon gtx980, old high end cards are always better than recent low end for the same price
16gb ram and i7
Bottom screens are slightly curved
The mac is an accident
top monitor is upsidedown because it would fit on the triple stand otherwise, works the same
Listen, this is a great build, and I especially appreciate the approach to the graphics card. You’re absolutely right about the GTX 980—old top-end models often outperform modern budget crap for the same price in terms of component quality and bus speed. Poseidon is a legendary series, and it still looks great.
Regarding the keyboard, I understand: the Razer Huntsman has unique switches and a case that literally attracts dust. If you’re thinking of upgrading, consider the custom 65% bases—they’re just as compact, but they can be disassembled and cleaned in five minutes. The G502 is a classic; life wouldn’t be the same without its side scroll wheel, although picking dirt out of all those crevices in the rubber grips is a real pleasure.
It’s cool that Sharkoon added magnets; custom features always add a touch of warmth to a setup. 16GB of RAM and an i7 are still enough for almost everything. How do you like the curved monitors on the bottom? Did your eyes quickly adjust to the combination with the regular monitor on top?
You can’t really tell the difference between the curved ones and flat ones. There’s no need to adjust. It’s just that the bottom ones are more seamless this way, no sharp angle between them.
