I grilled the manufacturer on this and they said yes it’s all coated, but they also said it was all 50 micron. I checked random samples from the batch under the microscope and they all appeared to be well coated. I couldn’t find even a single particle that wasn’t almost overly coated. This was after the washing and filtering though, so perhaps if any uncoated particles did exist they were flushed through and ended up in the catch basin.

To be clear, strontium aluminate itself is fairly benign and considered non-toxic.

This is why I trust Dangerous Things. I’d recommend adding some more of these details to the product listing. I couldn’t find the glow material mentioned for example. My $0.02

Agreed; It is the potential point of difference between yourselves and others in the market, and I think that extra step should be admired by the customers and a matter of pride for Dangerous Things.

Our powder has been washed and carefully sifted through lab grade filters to ensure it’s 50 micron (or larger).

I found this tidbit of info somewhat interesting…

Apparently the average size of a milled particle of flour is 82.67 microns… and if flour is small enough to easily atomize into the air, then that means glow powder might be easily kicked up as dust, so handle with care! If you’re concerned, wear an appropriate PPE like an N95 mask properly fitted to your face.
