Got stabbed yesterday

Wasn’t as bad as I was expecting, actually. I’m on day 1 of healing after having my Next v2 installed. It was working it’s way toward the entry wound but a bit of extra strapping and it’s back where it should be and seems to be staying there now.

Despite what others have experienced, I’ve actually been able to play around with it in NFC tools already (with varying levels of success). I guess I’m not swelling too much relative to other people.

I think I’ve pretty much worked out the specific spot to scan it with my phone, and I’m hoping this’ll only improve as I heal more. I’ve noticed one thing I’m curious about though, I only seem to be able to scan the chip with my phone from one angle, I’d say “head-on” is the best way to put it. Sideways or upside down and I’ve had no luck at all. Think this is something that’ll get better with healing? Or is it just inherent to the design of the antennas involved?

I was sad to learn I couldn’t copy my car key to the LF side of the chip, despite it blinking on the diagnostic card, as it’s 433mhz (lesson learned about doing more research in future). If anyone has any other suggestions for what to put on the LF side please shoot them my way, I think all the other uses I have in mind are HF.

My phone also has this sweet spot where I’ve always been able to read my xMagic with not issue at all, but my xDF3 is very picky about reading/writing to it, I need to keep my phone exactly at a certain angle…I’ve ordered some RSP and hoping that my experience will be a lot better after I’ve installed those

Ah neat, hadn’t heard about those. I’ll have to throw a few in with my next order, whenever I get it in. I’m planning to use mine for contact details for clients so I’m hoping most phones’ sweet spots are pretty similar but I know that won’t be right…

do you own an iPhone by chance?

If so the yes, that’s probably your best angle

The RSP or Hammy Sticker is an “essential” upgrade; they will make your read and write experience just that much better

Now that the repeater stickers are available, I think it would be a good place to start documenting the best placement of the stickers on the devices that we have available to us. yeah, there are ways (projects) that you can use that will allow you to do this, but which lotion is all depending on your car and it’s access system and what tech you want to use to operate with it.

You could use your LF side here with an xAC

It took me a while to work out what the xAC even does, I’m assuming it’s way above my level in terms of configuring and coding. I think using the proxmark easy’s about where I’m at with this stuff, is it much more involved than that?

In reality, well at least my opinion, a Flex Series is certainly a far better option for this use case.

The xSeries will work, but the issue is you need to have people rubbing their phone all over your hand, and every make and even model

There are a couple of options, my reccomend is the FlexNT as dedicated “business card”.

Can’t recommend the Apex Ring Conversion (module) enough… It’s just awesome! My only complaint is the storage, wish there were more space available… 2% free…

Not in the literal sense, but rather,
