sorry for asking , but what does SE blocks stand for and if i have the origianl card can i find out if i have SE blocks on my card? if it is possible what command line do i run to see that info.thx

i went on the web site you suggested iCLASS RFID Card
and noticed they sell a blank iclass hid card which is set with the picopass defaults.
will buying this card maybe clone my iclass hid card or do i need the exact part number card like HID tech recommended which in my case was part number 2000-hpggsv .
but before i buy it i have to figure if i have SE blocks on my card to either keep trying or just give up

You’re literally second guessing every piece of advice folks are giving you. Folks that are here because they care about the concept and want to help others learn.

Either choose to spend $10 on a card that many many many of us have spent WAY more money merely researching. And possibly achieve your goal or find something that can further the progress! Or, don’t And, never know. :man_shrugging:

SE-call it SUPER ENCRYPTED if you want. End result is the same. No one has figured out how to clone it yet. Feel free to contribute to the cause!

I have the same problem.

I have 2 iclass dp cards, first one set only block 6 and 7.
The second card, set block 6, 7 and I try to set
Block 0,3 but it shows that Writing failed then the card can’t hf ic dump --ki 0 anymore, it

  • The first card can be used.
  • The second one is not working and can’t be configured anymore, I have a dump but can’t restore it.

Blocks 0-3 are config. If you tried to change them, there’s a good chance the whole thing is bricked.

I purchased an HID IClass tag, same as the one I’m trying to clone. It’s so difficult to clone though. Is there a way we can change the CSN on the new tag as the same as the original tag?

Changing the CSN is unnecessary. Don’t touch blocks 0-5 or you’ll damage the tag.

Not only is changing the CSN unnecessary, it cannot be changed. Locked by the manufacturer from the factory.

So what needs to be “changed” in order to duplicate the original tag so that the clone tag will work???

I keep getting this when I try to dump all the information from the original tag “failed to communicate with card.” I can’t read all the block information. Any help?

It looks like that stored key isn’t the right one for that card. Try --ki 1 or --ki 2
