I’ve had an xSIID NFC LED implant in my left hand for over a year, and it’s been great! Lately, I’ve noticed that the implant seems to be traveling. I also have a xEM RFID implant in my right hand, which I’ve had for several months and hasn’t traveled.
I’m getting a little worried about the amount of travel the left-handed implant is doing. I’m right hand-dominant, so I’m not sure if there is an action I’m doing with my left hand that is promoting travel, but keeps getting closer to the knuckle. I’m able to push it back down near(ish) its original implant site, but I’m starting to do that almost daily.
In the photo, the X is the original implant insertion site. The two lines are where the implant length currently is. This is after guiding it down a bit.
Is it something I should be concerned about? Has anyone else had this happen? Should I make a splint or is there some way to support encapsulation in a more appropriate spot? I appreciate any information!
The technical term for this is called “migration”. It seems silly but try to get more rest, reduce stress, and take prenatal vitamin supplements which promote collagen production.
Also look into some tools you can use to keep the chip from moving around (migrating) while attempting to lock it down.
My xG3 was “mobile” for quite some time. Original injection site was between pinky and ring finger on the back of the hand. After getting a massage which included my hands, it was now between my middle finger and ring finger.
For probably almost a year, it would migrate in a line from near my wrist to all the way past and around the knuckle to in between my fingers. It finally settled down where is should be in the middle of the back of my hand.
