Performed a self-installation of the Apex Flex Module. I do not recommend ever doing this yourself but I want to share the footage so people can learn if they so wish. Healing well so far, will keep you posted on healing progress
Oh and you touched the Implant with your fingers full of mouth bacteria which pushes the bacteria deep in the wound. thatās even worse then just touching the wound
Please monitor it closely and if it shows signs of infection go visit a doctor! Having the bacteria that deep without a wound where the body can push the infection out it can have really bad consequences
Hey, I really appreciate the concern. My hands were throughly washed and the tools were sterile from factory. Used ISO several times during the procedure to clean the tools too. I think I was pretty careful all things considered I also cleaned my teeth and used alcohol mouthwash to try and reduce the risk even further. (However Iām aware that doesnāt make me immune)
I was concerned touching the pin point of the tool making the pocket on anything hence why I used my mouth to hold the end of the tool and ISOād it when I did have to put it down. Lots of things Iād change if I could do it again but this was my first time cutting myself open like this and should be my last
Healing well today and Iāve already got antibiotics available should it be required
And again, anyone reading, dont do this at home, otherwise you have these kind of risks.
I just wish the UK allowed professionals to perform body modifications without sending people to prison
You will not have those risks as much if you work a little more cleanly.
That does not help at all. No matter how good you clean your mouth there will be some bacteria left. You definitely got it on your tools and through the tools on your hand. It does not matter if the tools were sterile from the factory. You contaminated them with your mouth bacteria.
